Annerton to open a new office in Frankfurt am Main

Munich/Frankfurt a. M., 14 May 2020 – On 1 June 2020 Annerton Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH will open a new office in Frankfurt a. M. The law firm, which specialises in regulatory law in the finance industry, started operations at the beginning of the year at its locations in Berlin, Luxembourg and Munich and is now expanding into the heart of the world of finance.

Dr. Anna Izzo-Wagner will be joining Annerton as a partner from Taylor Wessing and will be responsible for building up the office in Frankfurt a. M. She will be supported by Alireza Siadat, who is also joining Annerton as a partner and who is coming from Simmons & Simmons. The legal team will be joined shortly by Till Christopher Otto, who is also joining Annerton from Taylor Wessing, where he has been a part of Dr. Izzo-Wagner‘s team since 2016. Annerton‘s office in Frankfurt a. M. is already the fourth location the young law firm is opening this year. As a result, a total of 16 lawyers, one tax adviser as well as twelve further team members will take care of clients‘ matters in 15 legal areas.

With Dr. Anna Izzo-Wagner, Annerton gains a renowned expert for banking supervisory and investment law. Dr. Izzo-Wagner left Beiten Burkhardt for Taylor Wessing at the end of 2010 in order to help set up their banking supervisory law practice group.

The focus of the new office will be on the continued advice of institutions and companies in all matters involving supervisory and investment supervisory law as well as the digitization projects of institutions. One will also provide advice regarding crypto / blockchain projects which renowned expert Alireza Siadat in particular will take on to reinforce Annerton‘s already excellent crypto practice.

“With Alireza Siadat on board we can become even more present in the area of blockchain“, said partner Dr. Susanne Grohé who set up Annerton‘s Berlin office and restructured it in such a way that the location now exemplifies expertise in the areas of payment and digitalisation. “Additionally, Mr. Siadat has  extensive experience in advising international clients with regards to entering the German market and is a superb and very good fit for our team in that area“, Dr. Grohé adds.
