About DORA
With DORA, the Digital Operational Resilience Act (EU) 2022/2554, the EU has created a regulation for the topics of cybersecurity, risks from information and communication technology (ICT) and digital operational resilience for the entire financial sector, which presents institutions with a wide range of challenges. The aim of the regulation is to address the growing ICT security and cyber risks in the financial sector.
The regulation came into force on January 16, 2023. Since then, financial institutions and third-party ICT service providers have had 24 months to incorporate the new rules into their processes.
